Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CALCULUS ADOLESCENT STT YOWANA MANDALA IN JEMBRANA YEAR 2022 ABSTRACT Calculus is one of the dental and oral health problems that often occurs in adolescents, which is caused by several factors. Puberty in adolescents is also one of the causes of the growth of tartar in adolescents because at this time they are prone to gingival inflammation which triggers the formation of calculus.The purpose of this study is to find out the Description of knowledge about Calculus in STT Yowana Mandala Adolescents in Jembrana Regency in 2022. The research conducted was descriptive research using STT Yowana Mandala teenagers in Jembrana Regency as many as 60 people in March 2022. The results of this study, Adolescents who have knowledge of tartar with good criteria are 18.33%, sufficient criteria are 26.66% and less criteria are 55%. The average knowledge of adolescents about tartar is 56.73 with sufficient criteria. The level of education with the highest average score is at the Diploma level as much as 67.8 with sufficient criteria and the one with the lowest average score at the junior high school level as much as 54.13 with less criteria. It can be concluded that the average result of adolescent knowledge about tartar is 56.73 with sufficient criteria. These results are influenced by the lack of curiosity of adolescents about tartar and factors in the area around where most of them are smokers Keywords : adolescent,puberty, calculus
